This review is looooooooooonng overdue. I may be
very late on this, but I don't care, hahaha. =) I have been using my lip butters for quite some time now and they're almost gonna run out anytime soon. Proof that I love them to bits.

Revlon Lip Butter |
Anyway, here's my take on these much raved little new lippies from Revlon.

Revlon Lip Butter |
It's actually not lipstick, although it could pass for one, it's a tinted lip balm. But it's very different from all the lip balms or any lipstick for that matter, I've used.
Since it's lip balm, err, lip butter, it's very non-drying. It's also, surprisingly enough, quite pigmented than I thought they would be. The range comes with 20 different shades to choose from. That's a huge color selection, isn't it? I was supposed to get only
Macaroon but I got so tempted and bought another on the first swatch ---
Pink Truffle. Before I left the counter, the SA told me to swatch another shade,
Peach Parfait, because it's quite a bestseller and she told me it'll look good on me because of my skin tone which is very fair for her but
"very maputla" for my liking. I declined the offer at first and paid for the macaroon and pink truffle. But after a few minutes I went back to the counter and snagged the peach parfait. Temptation is very hard to resist, I know!
So here they are

Macaroon is my favorite (and Em's too.) It's a subtle red shade with a hint of peachy coral. The color is very vibrant even with just one swipe.

Pink Truffle is the perfect MLBB. It's true! It's a very pretty shade of pinkish nude.

Peach Parfait is a shimmery peach shade. It looks very natural on the lips and gives off a very nice sheen. It leaves a bit of shimmer/glitter on my lips but it's hardly noticeable. No biggie.
Over-all these lip butters work really well for me, I didn't have to use any lip balm when it's on me. It's very hydrating! The texture is really nice and it glides on smoothly on the lips. Compared to other lip balms, it doesn't feel heavy or sticky or look greasy when applied. This is best to use for every day in my opinion. And now that summer is very near, I'll make sure that I'd still have these babies in handy. The colors are all so vibrant and very buildable too.
The only downside though, they don't last long on the lips, because they aren't lipsticks in the first place. I also have an issue with the packaging. They're pretty flimsy for me. The case is similar to the colorburst lipsticks but only they're clear. Not really a sophisticated looking creature, at least for me. =)
Alright, I know it's been said many, many, many times, over and over again, but these lip butters are worth the hype. I'm not paid to say this, okay? hahaha. =) They're just great. If you haven't tried them yet, please do. =) They're all over the place, in any Revlon counter nationwide, priced at 525 pesos each.
Have you tried these lippies yet? What can you say about them?

You have nicely shaped lips. I think pink truffle looked best. ;)
