Inlove: Nyx Soft Matte Lip Creams

How's everybody doin'? It's the end of February already. I'm pretty excited for March because summer is officially here. Time to go to the beach again. =)

Anyway, now that the love month is over, imma remove the raining hearts in here. I will sort of miss these hearts but I'm thinking of a new animation for summer. And of course, as promised (I'm sorry it took me a long time to post this), I'm going to post a review about the Nyx Soft Matte Lip Creams I recently completed --- in all beautiful colors.

Nyx Soft Matte Lip Creams

Last year, I fell in love with two SMLCs first, Antwerp and San Paulo. I even made a review about them that time. Afterwards, the rest is history. I get myself two or three new shades every once in a while, until finally, I completed the eleven lovely shades.

The Nyx Soft Matte Lip Cream is not your ordinary lipstick, lip gloss, etc. I like it very much because it's very pigmented, lasts on the lips for quite a long time and it's very affordable (250 pesos and up online). Application is a breeze because of its doe foot applicator. The formula is creamy, and it glides on very smoothly, with a very weightless feel. After a few minutes, it dries up to a very pretty soft matte finish. It has this distinct creamy/vanilla smell too. The only downside is that it dries my lips and certain shades really settle on the cracks/lines. So to help, I use a lip balm first.

Over-all, I love the Nyx SMLC because there's no lip product like it out there. Even if dryness is a problem, I can always solve it by using my Carmex or Burt's Bees. I was once told by a friend that lip scrubbing will greatly help when it comes to dry lips. I'll try that soon. Best of all, the colors are all really pretty. I know this review is very late, but I really wanted to complete them first so I can see what really looks good on me. Here they are. =)

Abu Dhabi

Abu Dhabi is a warm nude color with a brownish undertone.

Addis Ababa

Addis Ababa is a bright hot pink shade. I never thought that I'll never be able to sport a hot pink lippie, but I do now. =)

Amsterdam

Amsterdam is a cool-toned red.

Antwerp

Antwerp is my favorite. It's a nude peachy pink coral shade. It's very pretty.

Istanbul

Istanbul is a pale pink shade.

London

London is a brownish nude.

Milan

Milan is a cool toned and bright fuchsia pink.

Monte Carlo

Monte Carlo is a raspberry red shade.

San Paulo

San Paulo is another favorite. It's a bright rosy pink shade.

Stockholm

Stockholm is a pinkish coral nude.

Tokyo

Tokyo is a pale bubblegum pink. I hate to admit it, but I find this shade very difficult to pull off.
