FEATURING: Burt's Bees Beeswax Lip Balm Tin

I should have made a review about this lip balm along time ago, but I have always set it aside. Anyway, there's only one thing I can say about this product. SOOTHING.

Burt's Bees Beeswax Lip Balm Tin
I haven't really bought it in a long time, but a few weeks ago, when I dropped by Beauty Bar TriNoma, I decided to grab one. Of course I prefer the tin can version over the stick, primarily because the tin has more product compared to the stick (0.30 oz vs. 0.15 oz.) and they're sold at the same price --- 325pesos. Second, I love the vintage look of the yellow tin can of course. The little bumblebee on the packaging is the cutest. =)

So what does Burt's Bees has to say about this lip balm?
Give your lips the soothing feeling they deserve. This natural lip balm is loaded with coconut and sunflower oils, rich in vitamins and essential fatty acids, to nourish, condition and soften lips. Beeswax seals in hydration. We've even added peppermint oil for a refreshing tingle. Take your pick of an old-fashioned yellow tin or a recycled plastic tube. No wonder it is our most popular product.
Simply put, it's a just a regular lip balm that one must use daily, but it has something special in it. It contains natural ingredients which is just awesome. Compared to most commercial lip balms out there, Burt's Bees Beeswax lip balm really soothes the lips, well, at least for me. As you all know, I have problematic lips, dry and chapped most of the time, so this baby works well for me. On normal days and during normal lip condition days, it works just like your usual lip balm.
Ingredients: cera alba (beeswax, cire d'abeille), cocos nucifera (coconut) oil, prunus amygdalus dulcis (sweet almond) oil, mentha piperita (peppermint) oil, lanolin, tocopherol, rosmarinus officinalis (rosemary) leaf extract, glycine soja (soybean) oil, canola oil (huile de colza), limonene

I love the yummy peppermint scent and taste. I dunno, but it reminds me of minty chocolate. The tingling sensation the peppermint gives is not annoying, really. It doesn't taste or smell artificial. It's nice on the lips, and very smooth too. My lips somehow absorb the product instead of it just sitting on top, all greasy and shiny. It's not sticky, and in fact it moisturizes well. And of course, the packaging (with the cute bumblebee) is really, really adorable. The tin just fits anywhere, because it's small in size and flat. Plus, it lasts a very long time. It doesn't melt or something, so at its price, it's really worth it.

The only downside, as most lip balms in jars and tin cans, is hygiene issues. You will have to use your fingers when applying this, so you have to have clean fingers and fingernails before use. That's where sticks become more convenient to use.

I would repurchase when I empty the tin can, that is, if it gets empty. This will last me forever, I think. hahaha. =)

Thoughts? Have you tried this lip balm too?

I want to try this too but the issue for me is the packaging. I prefer sticks too because of hygiene issues. But I guess there's no harm in trying this one out.. :) I'm really in need of good lip balms especially in this cold and rainy weather.
